At-home workout tools and gadgets may have had their 15 minutes of fame at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, but we can’t lie: The SELF team still gets excited about major discounts on Peloton equipment. When it comes to recreating the vibes of a sweaty studio spin class or treadmill session in your living room, no one does it better. That’s why we were stoked to see so many great Amazon Prime Peloton deals on deck this year. Whether you’re looking for a fresh yoga mat, spin shoes, an indoor rowing machine, or a new set of home weights, one of the year’s biggest sales has you covered.
The Amazon Prime Peloton sale will run from July 16 to July 17 and is exclusive to Amazon Prime members. If you’re not yet enjoying two-day shipping and thousands of great deals, you can start a free trial membership anytime (as in, maybe right now if you’re ready to kit-out your home gym). Original Peloton Bike
A decade after its launch, Peloton has become the Kleenex of stationary bikes: Its name is synonymous with the exercise modality. And this model is the one that started it all. The Original Bike doesn’t have the same bells and whistles as the Bike+ (which was released in 2020—and is also on sale for Prime Day), but it’s still great for anyone who wants to dance through a workout with the brand’s peppy, encouraging instructors.
With classes lasting anywhere from five to 90 minutes (available with a Peloton membership for $44 a month) you really get to decide how hard you want to go on any given day. (My personal vibe? The Taylor Swift-themed rides and keeping the resistance low. )
The Peloton Bike+ takes the immersive spin classes of the OG model and elevates them with Apple Watch integration, automatically adjusted resistance, and a larger screen. SELF contributor Rozalynn S. Frazier, CPT, put the Bike+ to the test a few years ago and loved her experience.
“One of the things I really liked about the Bike+ is that it anticipated everything I wanted and those things I didn’t even know I needed,” she wrote. “For example, if you’re an Apple Watch wearer, which I am, at the beginning of a class, a notification pops up and asks you if you want to sync your Apple Watch. You tap your watch to the sensor and voila, you’re good to go.” Frazier also appreciated the amazing playlists curated by the Peloton instructors, the supportive cycling community, and how easily the bike fit into her compact apartment.
This mat serves a pretty simple purpose: It sits under your bike to protect your floors. While it’s not exactly a sexy purchase, it’s one you’d be wise to invest in (or risk shelling out mega-bucks for new hardwood varnish or carpet)—so why not snag it for 30% off its sticker price?
Peloton Cycling Shoes
If you’ve only ever cycled in your sneakers, trust us: Cycling shoes will be a major upgrade. Shows that have cleats that clip into the bike, like this pair from Peloton, help keep your feet and knees in alignment as well as make pedaling way more efficient ( thus improving your overall workout), as SELF previously reported. Peloton’s version of the sneak, as well as the brand’s narrower version of the shoe, are both marked down by a whopping 40% for Prime Day. We recommend picking up your size before Amazon runs out.
Peloton Tread
I’m not exaggerating when I say that my biggest dream in life is to own the Peloton Tread. Okay, so maybe it’s not my biggest dream—but I have been thinking about investing in one for a while.
Years ago, I took a class on one of these babies at Peloton Studios in New York. After running on gym treadmills for years, I was blown away by this piece of equipment’s simplicity and intuitiveness. You control the speed and incline using knobs, which is just such a dream when you’re used to feverishly pressing buttons while trying not to fall flat on your face. I also love the guided classes, which make every mile fun, challenging, and surprising.

AI-Powered Personal Strength Training Device For Your TV
The brand’s 2022 addition to its slate of workout equipment is an AI-powered personal trainer that hooks straight into your TV. This nifty device mirrors your image as you perform fitness moves like squats and deadlifts; meanwhile, a split screen lets you compare your form with the Peloton trainer guiding the class so you can avoid movements that could lead to injuries. The Personal Strength Training Device also counts your reps and keeps track of how much weight you’re using so you can continue to improve over weeks, months, and years of at-home workouts.
Peloton
Reversible Workout Mat
Peloton’s reversible workout mat features one grippy side for sweaty workouts and one soft rubber side for easy stretching and savasana. Chelsea Jackson Roberts, a yoga instructor at Peloton in NYC, previously told SELF that she prefers these dual-purpose mats for any class where some extra traction may come in handy. Think: hot yoga, HIIT, or sweaty strength training.
Peloton
Dumbbells (Set of 2)
Anyone who’s ever purchased at-home fitness equipment knows that weights are (how should I phrase this?) stupidly expensive. During Amazon Prime Day, Peloton marked down all of its dumbbells by over 20% so that you can stock your weight rack. These five to 20-pound weights are made with ergonomically designed square heads that make moves like goblet squats (which involve gripping the head of the weight) easier to perform.
Peloton
Light Weights (Set of 2)
One-, two-, and three-pound weights are handy for Pilates, low-impact exercises, and muscular endurance-style workouts, which involve high-rep, low-weight movements. They’re also a great choice for Peloton’s famous Intervals and Arms rides. These particular weights have a rubberized coating that will keep them from slipping out of your hands when your workouts get sweaty.
Adding a block to your yoga practice brings the ground up to you so you can relax into poses like wide-legged forward fold or pigeon pose without straining your muscles and joints. Peloton’s foam blocks are a steal at two for $15, and are made of EVA foam, which is more gentle on the body than cork or wooden blocks.
Looking for another fantastic prop to add to your at-home yoga studio? I love using my at-home strap to stretch out my hamstrings and hips — especially if I’m feeling tight after a run, bike ride, or hike. Peloton’s simple yoga strap is made of durable zinc alloy material that’s designed to last. It’s also easy to adjust, thanks to two looped metal bands on the end. It’s 30% off for the next couple of days.
“As a Peloton superfan, the Row did not disappoint me. The machine is well-made, beautifully designed, and comfortable to use,” wrote SELF contributor Michelle Konstantinovsky, who spent a few weeks testing this rowing machine. “And of course, as with all its other content, Peloton has churned out rowing classes with high-caliber production and instructor quality,” It’s 10% off this Prime Day(s).
Peloton
Glass Water Bottle (16 oz)
If you’re going to be spinning, rowing, strength training, or running at home, you need to stay hydrated. Drinking enough water regulates your body temperature and protects your joints, and downing 16 ounces during your favorite at-home workout is a pretty great start. This Peloton bottle is outfitted with a non-slip silicone sleeve so you don’t risk a spill during your next fast-paced workout (and it fits perfectly into the water-bottle holder on your bike or tread).
